March is “Totes of Hope” Month at Renasant Bank

Childerburg’s downtown bank, Renasant Bank is partnering with the American Red Cross for their Totes of Hope campaign through the month of March.  Totes of Hope is a fundraiser/campaign in which personal care items are collected, assembled in a tote bag and distributed through LOCAL Veteran’s hospitals and Veteran’s outreach programs.  A key part of this partnership is to support the military, their families and Veterans.

“We are accepting essential personal care items like soap, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc.  Additionally, we are accepting monetary donations which will be used to purchase these items for the tote bags.  A simple donation of $5.00 will provide a tote bag for a Veteran,” explained branch manager, Janice Grohs.

Last year Renasant Bank was the largest donator of tote bags in our region.  The Childersburg branch assembled 167 bags last year and the goal is to surpass that by assembling 200 this year.

This year we will actually be working with local Veterans to distribute the bags and we will get to meet some of them. What a great way to show our gratitude to those who have served to protect us!

Renasant Bank, 120 8th Avenue SW in downtown Childersburg will be collecting items and monetary donations until March 31st. In the meantime, the bank staff is holding special events in support of their goal of providing 200 Totes of Hope.
