Butler-Harris-Rainwater House starts a great new holiday tradition

Starting with the official Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 16th, the Childersburg Historical Preservation Commission will be officially kicking off a brand new holiday tradition, one that you and your loved ones can join and enjoy!

When the switch is thrown and those two beautiful evergreens are lit-up for everyone to see from Highway 280, hundreds will be honored, and hundreds of others will be remembered. Honor or memorialize your loved ones with a light in their name(s) for the Memorial Christmas Tree.

Each light is $5. You can purchase a light in honor or in memory of a loved one with a gift that will benefit the Rainwater Museum. The name of your loved one will be displayed on the Museum website throughout the year! Forms are avail with this story, or at other locations listed below. Turn them in, along with your tax-deductible donation at any of the following locations:

Childersburg City Hall
Pam’s Hair Heaven
Renasant Bank in Childersburg
Rainwater Library
Greater Coosa Valley Chamber of Commerce

Also, you will have the opportunity to memorialize your loved ones at Thursday night’s high school football game as Childersburg hosts the Leeds Green Wave in a key region match-up with playoff implications!
